Macau New Technologies Incubator Centre

Macau New Technologies Incubator Centre (Manetic) provides opportunities for innovative individuals to develop new technologies and aiming to enhance Macau on scientific and technological development. Manetic is located in Macau Peninsula providing fully equipped office space along with a number of meeting rooms for conferences and meetings, office utilities room and leisure room. With the strong support from Macau SAR Government and a number of major enterprises in Macau, Manetic has been pragmatically carried out the duty of incubator centre and the role of supporting technological development since her establishment in 2001, in order to nurture potential technologies companies for Macau society. Besides providing hardware support, such as office facilities, to members of the incubation, Manetic also provides commercial services to incubatees, such as business development, market research, promotion and so on. Thus, the business and the concept of product can be developed into an independent commercial individual at a high speed.

Regarding incubation, Manetic has received a total of over 140 applications for incubation, among which received over 70 applications became incubatees of Manetic in the past eight years. Within the approved incubatees, more than 30 companies, which are nearly equivalent to 50% of the incubation projects can be developed and commercialized, in which 9 companies, equivalent to 13%, are capable to operate independently and create sustainable businesses.

At present, Manetic has a total of over 40 incubatees. Their businesses include information technology, environmental technology, bio-technology, design and consultancy, other new technologies and so on. Regarding IT sector, it includes a variety of software products and development projects: such as the Convention and Exhibition Management System, Online Electronic Survey System, Voice Program package, Electronic Food and Beverage system and so on. For environmental technology projects, it includes green lights art, green fuel development, development for water supplies and drainage construction equipment and so on. For research and development on bio-technology and other new technologies, it covers research on refinement and segregation technology of traditional Chinese medicine, nanotechnology, research on health food and so on. For project design and consultancy, it includes promotion and provision of professional consultancy services for enterprises in Greater China, Europe and Portuguese-speaking countries. These over 40 incubatees possess more than a hundred employees along with more than 50 partners including local, mainland and international science and technologies academic, research and commercial institutes. And they have almost 200 clients including local and Hong Kong Government departments, local research, telecommunications, tourism and gambling institutes and so on.
