InnoICT Competition 2012
Introduction
InnoICT Business Plan Competition 2012 is an event organized by Macau New Technologies Incubator Centre (Manetic) and Tertiary Education Services Office with the support of different organizations to promote ICT innovation development in Macau. This competition is specially designed for full time or part time college student(s). The three final winning teams will be given the opportunity to convert their business plans to reality through Manetic incubation services.
Objectives
| 1. | To encourage and promote creation of new ideas, creativity, innovations in education sectors. |
| 2. | To facilitate local innovative ICT development and support college student(s) to fulfill their dream. |
| 3. | To enhance collaboration and communication between ICT industry and education. |
Competition Schedule
| April: | Commencing application on 20 of April 2012. |
| July: | Submission of Application on or before 6 of July 2012 and attend InnoICT Competition Workshop in Galaxy hotel at 3:00 p.m. on 10 of July. |
| August: | Submission of Business Plans on or before 1 of August 2012. 11 August: Judges elect finalists. 17 August: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. - Presentation of Business Plans and proof of concept by finalists to Judges. 8:00 p.m. - Award ceremony during which result will be announced. Venue is Macau tower on the 3 floor. |
Awards of Competition

Remarks
(*) The winning teams are entitled to the above awards remarked with (*) when they decide to start-up business by implementing their awarded business plan. In the scenario of competition’s champion team (1st place) not willing to implement their business, the start-up fund will be transferred to the next eligible winning team which decides to start-up business according to their awarded business plan. The business must start-up in Macau.
(#) The winning teams (formed by 1 to 5 members) will be awarded the following course coupons:
1st place: MOP 1,500 worth coupons
2nd place: MOP 1,000 worth coupons
3rd place: MOP 500 worth coupons
2nd place: MOP 1,000 worth coupons
3rd place: MOP 500 worth coupons

Eligibility
| 1. | Each team should consist of 1 to 5 college students. |
| 2. | Half of the team members must hold Macau Resident ID. Students who hold Macau Resident ID and study in foreign countries, can form team with foreign students. |
| 3. | Student who attended and was granted award in previous InnoICT Business Plan Competitions are not eligible to this year’s Competition. |
| 4. | The business proposal must be presented in Macau. |
| 5. | Business plans must be related to Information & Communication Technology. |
Registration
| 1. | InnoICT Business Plan Competition opens for application between 20 of April to 6 of July 2012. Application is done by online registration via official website <www.manetic.org/innoict/reg> . |
| 2. | Competing teams must submit the below items to Macau New Technologies Incubator Centre (Av. Infante D. Henrique, No. 43-53A, 7 Andar, Edf. The Macau Square) on or before 1 of August 2012, 5:00pm: |
| 2.1 | One hardcopy of business plan and softcopy in CD or DVD. |
| 2.2 | Competing teams may optionally submit, along with the business plan, a CD or DVD of 5-minutes presentation of their business concept. |
| 3. | 10 finalists will be announced on 11 of August 2012 at <www.manetic.org/innoictann> . Teams qualified into final round will be informed the date for business plan presentation to judges. |
Judging Process
| 1. | The judges are invited based on their knowledge and expertise in the related fields. |
| 2. | The judges are invited based on their knowledge and expertise in the related fields. |
| 3. | Judges use the softcopy submission for evaluation. |
| 4. | Finalist teams will be required to conduct a 15~20 minutes presentations to demonstrate their plan to the Judge Panel, followed by a Q&A session. The total length of presentation plus Q&A session will be limited to 30 minutes. |
| 5. | The decisions of the Judge Panel are final and represent the awards of the competition. |

| 2. | Each business plan is limited to 30 pages of A4 size (including pictures, graphs and appendices) and shall be written in English or Chinese. |
| 3. | Each team should submit softcopy of their business plan in Adobe Acrobat file format (.pdf) or MS Word file format (.doc) |

| 5. | Entrepreneur shall comply with the Macau laws for new business startups. Employee shall hold valid working permit in Macau. InnoICT organizers have no responsibility in these matters. |
| 6. | Plagiarism of business plan or works is prohibited, and will result as disqualification of committed team for InnoICT Business Plan Competition. |
| 7. | The organizers of the InnoICT shall not be responsible for any intellectual property violation by competition participants. |
| 8. | All materials submitted to InnoICT Business Plan Competition will not be returned. |
| 9. | All materials received during the judging process shall be used exclusively for InnoICT Business Plan Competition. |
| 10. | The Organisers reserve the right to amend or rescind any regulation pertaining to the Competition, and reserves the right of final decision in case of uncertainty or dispute. |
