Macau New Technologies Incubator Centre (Manetic) provides opportunities for innovative individuals to develop new technologies and aims to enhance Macau on scientific and technological development. Manetic is located in Macau Peninsula, providing fully equipped office space along with a number of meeting rooms for conferences and meetings, office utilities room and leisure room. With the strong support from Macau SAR Government and a number of major enterprises in Macau, Manetic has been pragmatically carrying out the duty of incubator centre and the role of supporting technological development since her establishment in 2001 in order to nurture potential technologies companies for Macau society. Apart from providing hardware support, such as office facilities, to members of the incubation, Manetic also provides commercial services to incubatees, such as business development, market research, promotion and so on. Thus, the business and the concept of product can be developed into an independent commercial individual at a high speed.

Regarding incubation, Manetic has received 192 applications, among which, 105 applications became incubatees of Manetic in the past 11 years. Among the approved incubatees, 48 companies, which are nearly equivalent to 46% of the incubation projects can be developed and commercialized, in which 16 companies, equivalent to 15%, are capable of operating independently and have created sustainable businesses.

At present, Manetic has a total number of 43 incubatees. Their businesses include information technologies, environmental technologies, bio-technologies, design and consultancy, other new technologies, etc.. Regarding IT sector, it includes a variety of software products and development projects such as educational software, e-reading system, GPS Vehicle Management System, Exhibitions Management System, Tablet PC & Smartphone Programming, Computer Aided Translation, Gaming & Entertainment System, Video Analysis & Surveillance System, Real Estate Management System, e-Restaurant System, etc.. For environmental technology projects, it includes solar power applications, energy saving coating film for curtain walls, solar-powered automobile air conditioning systems, green lights art, environmental testing services, energy-saving air-conditioning system, air purification & disinfection system, environmental friendly household products, etc.. For research and development on bio-technologies and other new technologies, it covers herbal based antibiotic research, researches on traditional Chinese medicine, consultancy service in food and drug production and regulations, Intelligent Building design, etc.. For project design and consultancy, it includes SME marketing, webpage design and internet marketing, promotion and provision of professional consultancy services for enterprises in Greater China, Europe and Portuguese-speaking countries. These 40+ incubatees possess nearly 180 employees along with more than 70 partners including local, mainland and international science and technologies academic, research and commercial institutes. And they have more than 700 clients including local and Hong Kong Government departments, local research, telecommunications, real estate agencies, tourism and gambling institutes and so on.
